William Lyon Mackenzie Collegiate Institute
William Lyon Mackenzie C.I.'s project is where our movement
had begun. From the summer of 2006 to now, the number of
members involved has grown exponentially. The project for
this school is to install a combination of solar pannels
and wind turbines on school grounds, while also intergrating
electricity conservation strategies. By similtaneously reducing
carbon dioxide emissions, and implementing environmental
consciousness into their lesson plans, William Lyon Mackenzie
C.I. is well on its way in being an environmentally sustainable
school.
